Spring is here and so is the time to celebrate another issue of Dare-Zine magazine! 🤩 This time we have something special prepared though, as a focal event to gather and enjoy what we can create and share together.
"TextMe" represents an innovative exploration of interactive performance that invites audiences to become integral participants in the creation of a dynamic sonic experience and landscape. Participants are invited to type text messages that directly influence various sonic parameters, including sounds, effects, rhythm, and other key elements. As both performer and composer, Chen Wang's role involves controlling the direction of the interaction, improvising voice based on the received text messages, integrating the sonic journey, and creating sounds influenced by audience input. Through this interactive composition and performance, an intricate web of connections is developed between audience typing input and sonic output, allowing for a collaborative exploration of sound creation in real-time.

Chen Wang is a Chinese vocalist, songwriter, composer, producer, and sound artist based in London. Also a member of the research center CRiSAP (Creative Research into Sound Arts Practice) and a Ph.D. candidate in electronic music composition. Her artistic practice revolves around exploring the possibilities of the voice, and pushing the boundaries of vocal abilities using computer technologies like Open Sound Control (OSC), live sampling, and synthesis. Composition and performance works of hers have been recognized and selected for various live performances, exhibitions, and composition competitions. Beyond the academic pursuits, she also works as an independent artist under the name "Noisy Chen", focusing on songwriting and music production in the realm of popular music.

Пролетта е тук и с нея е време да отпразнуваме поредния брой на списание „Дерзай“! 🤩 Този път обаче сме подготвили нещо специално: фокус събитие, по време на което да се насладим на нещо, което можем да създадем и споделим заедно.
TextMe е интерактивен пърформанс, който кани публиката да стане неразделна част от създаването на динамично звуково преживяване и пейзаж. Участниците са поканени да пишат текстови съобщения, които пряко влияят на различни аудио параметри, включително звуци, ефекти, ритъм и други ключови елементи. Като изпълнител и композитор, ролята на Чен Уанг включва контролиране на посоката на взаимодействието, вокални импровизации въз основа на получените текстови съобщения, интегриране и създаване на звуци, повлияни от предложенията на публиката. Чрез тази интерактивна композиция се развива сложна мрежа от връзки между съобщенията на публиката и звуковия изход, което позволява съвместно изследване на създаването на звукова среда в реално време.
